Winegarner, Lloyd A., 87, of Dayton, passed away Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at Miami Valley Hospital. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Maerene Winegarner; sons and daughters-in-law Lloyd and Kelli Winegarner of Kettering, Kenneth and Gale Winegarner of Beavercreek, Robert and Gwenna Winegarner of Xenia; sister Frances Matthews of Michigan; 7 grandchildren. He was a veteran of WWII in the U.S. Army Air Corp and was a P.O.W. for 365 days after his B-17 Bomber was shot down. He retired from the Hewitt Soap Company where he was a founding member...

He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Maerene Winegarner; sons and daughters-in-law Lloyd and Kelli Winegarner of Kettering, Kenneth and Gale Winegarner of Beavercreek, Robert and Gwenna Winegarner of Xenia; sister Frances Matthews of Michigan; 7 grandchildren. He retired from the Hewitt Soap Company where he was a founding member of the I.U.E. Local #689. He enjoyed being an AKC breeder and show person. He was a member of the Jockey Club and was a thoroughbred breeder and owner. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-BEAVERCREEK CHAPEL, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd. Pastor Rob Wackerman officiating.
