BRANDON, Ronald Rene', age 74 of Beavercreek, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, September 28, 2017. He is preceded in death by his partner Flo Thompson, parents Russell and Dorothy Brandon, and sister Pamela McComas. He is survived by his children, Ronald C. "Chet" (Susan) Brandon and Dianna L. (John) Outten, grandchildren Joshua Brandon and Corine Outten , step-children Bradford Thompson, Dale and (Sherry) Thompson and Robin Thompson, step-grandchildren LaRisa Girard, Jessica Girard and Rebecca Girard, brother Wayne (Nina) Brandon, and sister Lucinda (Todd) Jefferson. BRANDON, Ronald Rene', age 74 of Beavercreek, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, September 28, 2017. He is preceded in death by his partner Flo Thompson, parents Russell and Dorothy Brandon, and sister Pamela McComas. He is survived by his children, Ronald C. "Chet" (Susan) Brandon and Dianna L. (John) Outten, grandchildren Joshua Brandon and Corine Outten , step-children Bradford Thompson, Dale and (Sherry) Thompson and Robin Thompson, step-grandchildren LaRisa Girard, Jessica Girard and Rebecca Girard, brother Wayne (Nina) Brandon, and sister Lucinda (Todd) Jefferson. Ron spent most of his life dedicated to science education as adjunct professor of Biology. Some of the institutions he taught at included Morris Harvey College, Central State Univ., Wilburforce Univ. and Sinclair Community College. He attended Marshall University in Huntington, WV for both his BS in Biology and his MS in Zoology. His passions included a lifelong interest in trains, automobiles and motorcycles. He was a regular bowler, avid player of pickle ball, and Steelers fanatic. He had a fascination with history and all things Scottish. Ron was a wealth of historical and scientific knowledge. This absent-minded professor will be dearly missed. In lieu with of flowers please make a donation to The American Heart Association or Doctors Without Borders. Memorial services will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at the Tobias Funeral Home - Beavercreek Chapel, 3970 Dayton-Xenia Rd. at Grange Hall Rd.
